I think that's a problem with the conversion. Are you sure to hae started the XWA-Launcher, not the TFTC launcher? And are you sure that it doesn't just still look like TFTC but also start the TF missions? In that case you would have to reinstall or have another installation without mods. If you want to have both TFTC and XWA running properly you need to installations of XWA since it becomes two entirely different games because of the major modding.
And by the way: Lucky you to have an nvidia 5-series card - my geforce 8600 has funny graphical errors. Don't upgrade your graphics card to an nvidia 8- oder 9-series as it will cause major problems with XWA!!!

I have a icon to launch "X-wing alliance", and other icon called "TFTC X-Wing Alliance Launcher" in my Windows desktop . Both of them always launch "Tie Fighter T.C." I try to choose my former pilot for Xwing alliance, and this message appears "Pilot............will be loaded when you start X-wing Alliance".
Can I re-install Xwing Alliance in other directory for play it?
By the way, I read in some forum that new drivers for Nvidia cards solve the graphics errors of these.

The trouble is that the installer changes from the "Install" to the "Play" button. Here is what you need to do: Make a copy of of your XWA folder and rename it to let's say TFTC. Then you uninstall XWA and should therefore be able to reinstall an unpatched version of said program. Now you ahould still be able to start TFTC using the alliance.exe in the TFTC folder and XWA from the new XWA folder. I haven't tried this, but it should work. Try it out and post your coming out... The graphics errors evolve: First, the target brackets were gone and sometimes the thingypit and any ship in the foreground would disappear when there was a planet in the background. Unfortunately, switching the background of doesn't help. With the latest drivers the yellow target brackets are back, but the disappearing foreground remains, which is really annoying and the reason why I play on my wifes older PC (my old one, that is) with a Geforce 5900, but that PC is a bit too sluggish for Darksaber's craft pack...
