whenever i try to install, a box pops up saying:
Your Configutation file (Config.cfg) has not been set up correctly. Before you can continue, you will have to:- 1. Start X-Wing: Alliance by clicking on 'Yes'. 2. Exist X-Wing: Alliance and install the TFTC.
If you already have a backup of your Pilot file (*.plt) and your Configuration file (Config.cfg) now is the time to place them in your X-Wing: Alliance directory.
Thank you.
I don't know what that is talking about. i moved the files to a hundred places to see if that would fix it but no luck. I installed the DSUCP, was there some other step i missed?

You first need to do a fresh install of XWA. Then the ver. 2 patch for XWA. Launch the default game and go into your menus to setup your screen resolution and sound preferences etc. I believe this is then saved (config.cfg) once you have created a default name pilot.plt file. Copy these to another temporary folder. You can then install this game mod. Then copy/move those two backup files into your XwingAlliance folder if you want to overwrite what's there. If you edit the config.cfg with notepad, you're note those are profile settings that will be applied to next time you start TF. Not sure why you are having problems as this should be automatic.
Edit: The latest DSUCP2.x will be merged-in with the TFTC to allow access to additional craft (XWA & EU) used in ver. 2 & 3 on a limited basis to enhance game experience in new creative way(s). i.e. SSD, AT-AT Barge, etc.
