While surfing through the internet I discovered the following youtube-video:
It's about the re orchestrated TIE Fighter music. In the comments I red the following:
"UPDATE: This, and all the other music from Tie Fighter, will be showcased in the upcoming release of Tie Fighter Total Conversion v3.0! Check out the first release at www.darksaber.pnma.co.uk/craftpacktftc2.html Whoo-hoo, I'm a member of the team now!"
Is there planned a new version of TFTC? When will be the release?
Thanks for your answer. Keep up the good work, and take your time. Hopefully the new version 2.0 / 3.0 will work properly with my versions of X-Wing Alliance and TIE Fighter. Actually I'm playing Waylons XvT imperial campaign.
I'm the re-orchestrator of the soundtrack, and I have been trying to find this out myself. Darksaber seems to have vanished into the aether, his site is gone, and to the best of my knowledge, no progress of adding my music to his mod survives.
On a positive note, the re-orchestration that I did with Abdul-Haseeb Ahmad for SavingContent is soon to be back up for download - I literally just spoke to him, so while it isn't TFTC 3.0, it's SOMETHING at least.
Hey folks. I've been a long time follower of the project; although it's been a while since I've checked up on it. The other day someone told me that the 20th anniversary of Tie-Fighter just recently past and it reminded me about you guys. Sounds like work is progressing on v2.0 & 3.0, if a bit slowly. I'm sure you get tired of this questions, but any word on how things are going and when we might see a release? Anyway, I want to thank everyone for their hard work as well. You guys are our only hope until someone at Disney realizes there's still a market for these games.
