I already finished TFTC and I wanted to comment a bit. No there won't be too much whining
First I'd point out that this was an amazing effort. I can't imagine how many hurdles you guys had to jump. I bet v1.1 will be even better.
I saw several mission problems, aside from a few balance problems. In B2M4 after completing your mission of catching the dimok and ripoblus leaders, no hyper buoy to home appears and the only way to exit is Q + space.
In B6M3 after completing your objectives and waiting for the frieghters to finish docking, gunboats from your flight group on patrol crash into the platform (at least 2) which is enough to kill the platform and fail your mission if you didn't kill the X-Wings fast enough. Also scripting for docking seems alittle bit buggy, especiall when you're trying to get a warhead reload. In B4M4 after you've completed every other objective, the transports that are supposed to ferry the beam weapons to your frigate circle the hanger for about 5 min before actually going. That's not really a problem per se but it's not nescecary.
There are a few balance problems too, mostly dealing with enemy AI. I don't know how much of the original TF balance you were trying to recreate but enemy starfighter AI is generally way too high. Especially flying unsheilded TIEs if you get 2 people on you it's impossible to shake them, and sometimes you have to ignore them just to complete an objective. They are just too accurate and since lasers fire so much faster in XWA it makes a lot of missions just a bunch of trial and error since you really can't just FLY them..... Also attacking ATRs and corvettes is almost suicidal in anything unsheilded, whereas you could do it in original TF. Both frigates seem underpowered, and they often don't even shoot down warheads.
Also, I hope something can be done to fix the music upgrade, since it craps out after the first theme change. It would be nice to get the secret order tatoos back into the game, although I dont' know if it's possible since you can't fiddle with the source code. I hope the combat chamber missions and the medals that go along with it end up in a future release, since the TFTC trailer came with about six of those missions.(End Whining)
The emails were a really nice touch, the Battle of Hoth FMV was charming, and the DAT images for TOD missions in the combat chamer were beautifully well done. The huge dogfight after the last mission was a nice way to end the game.
