Good Question, let me try that again, how's 768 mb sound? ;D Anyway, just to let you know. At first i installed TFTC on top of a XWA that had the Ultimate Craft Pack. I figured that maybe that messed up the voices so i totally removed everything XWA on my computer and started out with a fresh install and patched it, still had the verrrrryyyy sloooow voices... like barry white's singing the briefings. I suppose i'm the only one with this issue?

Do have the latest MS DirectX9.0c drivers? Next install on top of that the latest sound card drivers for your sound card. Seems like you may have your settings somewhere mixed up. Also run the DirectX diagnostic utility and check the sound tab. i.e.--- at your desktop click Start, Run, type dxdiag, and make sure your acceleration is set to full (slide to the right). You might also shut down any unnecessary applications or things that are using system memory/resources etc.

Thank you for you help, I don't have trouble with the voices in normal XWA and i have direct X 9.0c, i also ran the dxdiag tool. It doesn't seem like there are many driver updates for the sound blaster Audigy cards, are there any codecs that are needed to play the converted voices, or maybe some in-game sound settings i should be using?

Did you download the lastest EAX4.0 support drivers on Creative Labs web site for your card? You should also check your soundcard documentation and experiment with in-game sound settings.
That's strange. Because I think the .voc files are converted to wave format at the lower end of the scale... i.e.--for example bit rate=88kbps, sample size= 8 bit, Channels = 1 (mono), Audio sample rate= 11kHz, PCM format,.... all within XWA's parameters to play these.
Only other suggestion--if you have the time--is open each wave file using "Audacity" (web search it) and change the tempo to what you like and export/(save). Rename the new file etc.

Thank you for you help, i ended up using windows sound recorder to just speed up the tempo of all the wav files by 100% and that fixed my problem. By the way, I really love this conversion, brings life back into a great game!
