I live in Russia and I ‘am an old fan of tie fighter and other flight simulators performed by Lucas Arts. I have a problem.
1.Beginning from Battle 3 Mission 5 “Thrawn inspects NL-1” and farther missions (mission 6) I have a permanent problem. After several minutes of flight (3-4 minutes) my craft stops. All onboard systems of my craft indicates as inoperative, I can not shoot, I can not move, a can not do anything. Meanwhile all other crafts are moving and mission continues. (it indicates in map mode, all other objects are moving). I know mission sceneries and I remember events consequences in mission and I know that this is unnormal. Pleas help me!!! 2.I am using Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition ver. 2002 Service pack 2. 3.(4) Tie Fighter Total Conversion for X-Wing Alliance v2.02. (English) 5.Computer: Acer Aspire 3692 W LMi, Intel Celeron M processor 420 (1.6 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 1 MB L2 cache), Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950, 512 MB DDR2 (support dual-channel)

That's odd. Is your ship getting disabled by enemy ion-cannon fire ? If not, it sounds like something got corrupted, or maybe there's something wrong with your joystick and or video card (hardware resource sharing conflict). You should also check to see if your system is MS DirectX9.0c compliant. You can run the Direct X Diagnostics utility to check your Windows system components. "DxDiag". etc.

It could also be a problem with mission file. I've seen missions where crafts autodisable with certain triggers...
Though my hypothesis fails considering everyone else has the same files.

Maybe. But he's saying this happens on more than one mission file. Y-wings can sometimes disable your craft if you get hit. Sometimes if there are too many objects or craft (up to 90 max ? ) in the current region, that may hinder the game. I'm not really sure.
