Hey guys, I really appreciate what you are doing with one of my favorite games. I was wondering if you need help with testing and development of the extra missions, craft, etc? I can help you out as much as possible whenever I am not dealing with all my real life issues and responsibilities.

Thanks but it will be a while before that stage is reached. It's kind of backlogged until certain tasks are completed. Right now TFTC is on hold until three .opt models are completed which will also hopefully benefit the XWAUP project. One of those is the XQ1 Platform base. If you or anyone can create a high detailed 3D model, texture, and Opt it, that would really help. This model will also need to replace the familybase.opt (Azzameen home) model, so a hangar would have to be incorporated into it.

I can make 3D models. Very high detail. I can only export to X (microsoft) format, and a few other formats. Does anyone have info on the "OPT" format, and of any conversion programs?

One of the best sites to start learning about the .opt modeling format at is JM's site: www.btinternet.com/~jmdare/You can also read Q & A's posts going back several years in the "Editing Forums" at: www.xwaupgrade.com You would have to find a utility that could convert the MS "x" model format into either .dfx, .obj, or .3ds before it's ultimately imported into .opt format using Optechv1.1.
